| 7-8 June 2007 | Asset Dynamics Asia to present at the ABF Plant Reliability, Operations & Maintenance Strategies Conference - Bangkok, Thailand
Topic: Improving plant reliability and uptime using online condition monitoring technologies Synopsis: The transition to a reliability focused approach to asset care will result in the need to manage a huge amount of equipment health data. Conditioning monitoring devices, distributed controllers, plant historians, as well as operator and maintainer rounds are all sources of valuable condition monitoring information that can assist asset managers in diagnosing the health and performance of their assets. A typical plant will manage 60,000 failure indicators. The only practical way to operate in this proactive environment is with a system that manages all of this data on an exception basis, enabling you to focus only on the assets that require your attention. In this session, we will explore how an integrated reliability system can help you to manage based on asset health, rather than reacting to equipment failures. |
4-6 June 2007
| Asset Dynamics Asia to present at the Terrapinn Steel Mill Optimisation & Maintenance Conference - Bangkok, Thailand
Topic: Optimising Asset Reliability to Drive Breakthrough Performance
Synopsis: Maintenance organisations are now being charged with the responsibility to contribute to the bottom line. The conditions, availability and reliability of plant assets affect a company’s ability to meet fluctuations in market demands, maintain safety levels and minimise unplanned downtime. This workshop describes how to realise breakthrough performance by putting in place a proactive asset reliability process. By embracing the business process, training and empowering employees and giving them the right supporting practices and tools, the maintenance organisation will work more effectively and in turn impact the bottom line. Gain an understanding of the Asset Reliability Process as well as the supporting reliability practices and tools required to optimise asset reliability at optimal cost. This workshop will help you understand how implementing a reliability strategy in your organisation can lead to breakthrough performance. |

| 5-6 March 2007 | Asset Dynamics Asia to present at the Marcus Evans World Shutdown and Turnaround Management Event : Maximising Efficiency in Shutdown and Turnaround - Jakarta, Indonesia
Topic: RCM in Shutdown Management
Synopsis: Shutdown is a lose-lose venture. How to optimise the shutdown duration to minimise the financial lost from shutdown. One of the best methodologies available is Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM). RCM ensures that we only do things that are necessary during the shutdown so that the plant maintenance plan and shutdown duration is optimised.
This paper will touch on the following topics: Addressing reliability objectives Managing the shutdown worklist using RCM Optimising shutdown duration Ensuring quality and reliable work during shutdown

| 24-28 April 2006 | Asset Dynamics Asia to present at the IQPC Reliability & Maintenance Congress - Singapore
Topic: Strategic Planning for Inventory Management & Control: Reliability Centred Spares Synopsis: The benefits of applying RCS are: Elimination of unnecessary inventory Improved confidence and elimination of “squirrel” stores More effective relationships with suppliers Reduced exposure to the risk of extended down time through lack of stock Better communications between operations, maintenance and inventory personnel
This workshop helps maintenance engineers target specifically at decisions involving high cost, slow-moving spare parts where the decision is often whether to stock zero, one or more parts. Too often, initial stock decisions are based on manufacturers’ recommendations and on engineering judgment. Inevitably the inventory compiled is not optimal: parts are held that are never used. In typical engineering stores, the value of “non-movers” can be more than 30% of the total parts held. Of course there is a strong temptation to simply eliminate those parts that have not been used for one or two years, without considering the possible consequences for the organisation. The objective of RCS is to buy stock that is essential for plant operation and to reduce or eliminate completely stock that is unnecessary or can be more effectively held by a vendor or other third party. |
| 6-7 March 2006 | Asset Dynamics Asia to present at the Marcus Evans “Asset Life Cycle Management : A holistic lifecycle management approach to optimising performance & enhancing reliability of your assets” - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Topic: Reliability Centred Maintenance 2 (RCM2): What it is and Ingredient for Successful Implementation
Synopsis: Maintenance is about preserving the function of an asset. The maintenance activities begin when the asset is created and functional. How well do we understand maintenance? Should the maintenance be static or dynamic? What has happened to maintenance world over the last century? Reliability Centred Maintenance is one of the tools to identify maintenance requirement of an asset. It is dynamics and progressive. The methodology is proven and benefit realized but why in some cases the implementation failed. This paper will touch on the relationship between maintenance and RCM and the ingredients for successful RCM 2 implementations. Some of the topics that will be covered are: - How well do we understand maintenance?
- The changing world of maintenance
- Maintenance and RCM
- RCM: The seven basic questions
- Applying the RCM process
- What RCM achieves
- Ingredients for successful implementation

| 20-22 Sept 2005 | Asset Dynamics Asia to present at IQPC LNG Plant Optimisation conference - Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia
Topic: Optimising Turbo Machinery Performance Using Advanced Asset Management Technologies
Synopsis: Turbo machinery is a vital but highly complex and expensive part of the LNG facility. Incorrect operation and poor diagnosis of health and performance can result in significant productivity loss, in terms of both energy and throughput and/or additional maintenance costs. Turbo machinery needs to be operated efficiently and maintained effectively to provide optimum return on investment. Optimisation of the Turbo Compressor Maintenance and operation is a very complex task. There are many variables to monitor and building a model to analyse and then optimise performance is beyond the capabilities of most organisations. Now a new technology recently released by Honeywell allows true monitoring, optimization and decision support applications structured using RCM and designed to improve the availability and performance of almost any type of turbo machinery. This workshop will explore in detail some of the applications and benefits of this technology and how to successfully deploy the solution. |
