In this course, delegates will explore the reasons for holding engineering spare parts and the critical importance of setting the right stock levels. Delegates will learn a comprehensive method for identifying what spare parts should be held for any physical asset based on its maintenance requirements and will be taught methods for calculating the optimum stock level. Both manual and software driven calculation methods will be examined. A large part of the course will be based around worked examples and case studies. Scientific calculators are required.
