| Petronas MTBE Malaysia Sdn Bhd (MMSB) International Petrochemical Company Completes Successful First Site Implementation of Ivara’s Asset Performance Management Software BURLINGTON, ON (Dec. 1, 2008) – Ivara Corporation, the industry leader and innovator in asset performance management solutions, today announced that MTBE Malaysia Sdn Bhd (MMSB), a subsidiary of Petronas, an international petroleum corporation, has successfully completed its first pilot site implementation of EXP Enterprise at the company’s Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) facility located in Kuantan, Malaysia. Working with Asset Dynamics Asia (ADA), a member of Ivara’s global network of reliability experts, The Aladon Network and EXP Enterprise Implementation Partner, MMSB implemented Ivara’s asset performance management software in only nine weeks to quickly deploy a proactive maintenance program for PDH plant. Ivara’s flexible delivery approach, Ivara Work Smart ®, enabled the accelerated implementation of EXP Enterprise. Ivara’s reliability strategy development methodology, Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), was leveraged to rapidly create the equipment reliability program in EXP. Facilitated by Asset Dynamics Asia, the MTA process was used to validate the company’s existing FMEAs, identify new failure modes and recommend maintenance tasks to address each failure mode. The MTA results were captured in EXP Enterprise and the reliability program built, complete with equipment health indicators. Today, PDH operators use EXP to conduct inspection routes, collecting over 3000 numeric equipment condition indicators and over 700 qualitative indicators using handheld devices. This data is automatically consolidated with all other sources of condition data including over 250 indicators from online equipment or process data. In addition, over 1400 indicators are calculated based on rules and calculations set up in EXP. EXP then analyzes all of the information and triggers alarms when asset performance or condition degrades. With EXP, PDH is now able to link a failure back to its failure mode and capture the value of avoiding that failure.. “Getting to value quickly and efficiently is a must in today’s competitive environment. The achievement at MMSB is proof that we have the right implementation approach, partners and technology to help our customer’s quickly realize value from their Ivara investment,” says Paul Marshall, president and COO, Ivara Corporation. “We congratulate MMSB on their achievement and look forward to driving even greater value for them in the future. | |

| | Pakistan Refinery Limted "Asset Dynamics Asia was appointed by Pakistan Refinery Ltd (PRL) to assist with the implementation of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) methodology. As a precursor to RCM implementation. Criticality Assessments were conducted to provide a fast and effective means of developing a criticality profile of the refinery for RCM project selection and planning. We found Asset Dynamics Asia very supportive and accomodative in the implementation of RCM at PRL. From project kickoff to the final report submission, Asset Dynamics Asia not only kept close liason with PRL for the timely completion of the project but also put their best efforts for a high quality of work during the project" GM Engineering & Construction - Pakistan Refinery Limited. |
